How much does oven repair cost?

Why is my oven not heating?
In an electric oven, the usual causes are a burned-out bake element, a faulty thermostat, or a bad control board. In a gas oven, it’s often a weak or failed igniter or a problem with the gas valve. Either way, a technician can pinpoint it quickly.
Why does my oven cook unevenly or at the wrong temperature?
A faulty temperature sensor, a worn heating element, a damaged door gasket letting heat escape, or a thermostat that needs calibrating are the most common causes. If your food keeps coming out over- or undercooked, it’s worth having it checked.
What should I do if I smell gas from my oven?
Don’t turn on any lights or appliances or use anything that could spark. Leave the area right away and call your gas company or 911 from outside. Once it’s safe, we can inspect and repair the oven.
Is it worth repairing my oven or should I replace it?
If your oven is under about 10 to 15 years old and the repair is reasonable, fixing it usually costs far less than replacing it. If it’s older, or the control board and other major parts are failing, replacement might be the better value. We’ll give you an honest recommendation either way.
